Dames at Sea, Day Eight: Day of Rest

After seven days of virtual nonstop sightseeing, even I was ready for a break.  Carol and I decided to stay onboard, eat, drink Prosecco and relax by the pool.  We did take a little time to explore the ship and admired the amazing art on display in all the corridors, some for sale for as much as $35,000.  We were shocked to see original works from Salvadore Dali, to Marc Chagall and even Bob Dylan.

Normally, if we had an early tour, we had breakfast served in our room.  But this day we had the luxury of eating outside of La Terrazza on the deck.  I should mention that we had perfect weather, despite it being off season.  Many mentioned to us that it was unseasonably warm and pleasant.

We enjoyed an afternoon snack on our balcony. Carol participated in a putting contest and we had a late dinner at Hot Rocks on the pool deck. The concept was unique: each person had their own lava-hot cooking tile on which we could grill our choice of protein.  We both did surf and turf: a melt-in-your mouth filet mignon and the hugest prawns I have ever seen (they were from Madagascar and looked to be at least six inches long.)
