Dames at Sea, Day Six: Portofino, Rapallo, Santa Margherita

Our second day of touring, Carol decided to stay on the ship and luxuriate.  It was a beautiful day to relax poolside, with a steady supply of Prosecco.  I, on the other hand, couldn't resist seeing these three islands in the Italian region of Liguria.  We started and ended with Portofino, a charming fishing village frequented by celebrities. Then it was on to Rapallo, distinguished by a castle built in 1550 for defensive purposes, once a prison and now used for conferences and events.  Santa Margherita was my favorite and I drank in the atmosphere at a waterfront restaurant next to a mariner's church called Sant Erasmo, which chimed periodically during my lunch of Prosecco and seafood salad.
