Dames at Sea, Day Seven: Monaco, Nice and Monte Carlo

From the Italian Riviera, we proceeded to the French Riviera where we landed in Monaco.  It is the second smallest and most densely populated country in the world with a population of about 37,000 people on less than one square mile of land.  It is best known for its casino (shown in the James Bond movie, "Casino Royale".)  Our bus tour took us through winding roads in the hills to adjoining cities and towns.  After a rest on the ship we took a water taxi into town and to the casino.  (We couldn't resist! "When in Rome...")  We passed on the drinks (17 euros) but tried our hand at a few slots.  We both actually came out ahead.  We both knew when to quit, luckily.
